Board of Directors

Meals on Wheels Board of Directors is made up of a group of dedicated volunteers who have varried skill sets and provide oversight, direction and manage the risks of the organization.  Meals on Wheels London seeks new board members on an on-going basis in order to attract the best candidates to support the organization in this governance capacity.  If you are interested in being a part of the board, please download the application form found here and e-mail it to chair@mowl.ca

Bill joined the Board in 2013 after careers in the public, private and Not for Profit sectors.  He has used his passion for professional development and planning to help MOWL move forward and target its new strategic objectives.

Maria deJourdan, Treasurer

Maria de Jourdan joined the Meals on Wheels board in February 2015. Maria is a Chartered Professional Accountant and has worked in public practice for the past ten years in London, Ontario. She is currently a manager at MNP LLP. Maria enjoys working with the other board members and team at Meals on Wheels to help ensure that the London community continues to support seniors and healthy living!


 Marianne Pope, Secretary

I am very proud to be involved as a Board member at Meals on Wheels London.  This great organization provides such a needed service to our community.  It is a well run charitable non-profit and from working in that sector, I enjoy seeing the MOWL flourish with new opportunities and better ways to serve seniors and others that benefit from the service.


 Maureen Nicol, Director

Maureen is a Chartered Professional Accountant and joined the board of directors in July 2015.  She is proud to be part of the Meals on Wheels board and values the hard work and dedication of the staff and volunteers in helping to provide nutritional meals to seniors along with helping them remain independent in their own homes.  She is excited to see the organization make even a bigger impact as it partners with other organization to serve our elderly community.


Jessica Williams, Director

Jessica is a lawyer in the Wills, Estates, Trusts and Charities Law Group at Harrison Pensa LLP. Jessica joined the Board of Directors of Meals on Wheels London in 2016 and is proud of the broad impact the organization is having on her community.


 Neevita Rathee, Director

Neevita Rathee, a Sociologist, having years of experience in Social Service has joined the Board of  Meals on Wheels as she truly aligns with their Vision and Mission statement which is making a significant difference in people’s life regardless of their age and dependence.


Diane Silva, Director

Diane Silva is passionate about making a difference in the City of London!  As the Director of Philanthropy at London Community Foundation she works closely with families and individuals on achieving their philanthropic goals. Diane is excited to be part of the Meals on Wheels board because she believes in the work that this fabulous agency does in keeping people in their homes, giving them the social connection that his often overlooked, all while delivering healthy nutritional meals to people.  This place goes beyond just delivering meals – they give people a sense of belonging!  Diane joined the Board of Directors April 2017.


Gary Lowe, Director

Gary is married with 3 children and has been blessed with 6 wonderful grandchildren, he was employed for 30 years at the Elgin-Middlesex Detention Centre and retired as Deputy Supertintendent. He has and continues to proudly support Meals on Wheels London through the 'Wheels for Wellness' program, "The Village Table" program and by being a member of the Meals On Wheels London board of directors. Being in a position to "Give Back" to the community that he calles home for 55 plus years is a true privilege.

 


Pauline Andrew, Director

Pauline works as a Social Services Manager with Middlesex County.     

Pauline joined the Board of Directors in June 2018 and looks forward to experiencing the impact Meals on Wheels is having on seniors and individuals living with disabilities in London.
