Meals on Wheels is more than a charity. It's having impact!

March for Meals 2020 Cancelled

Event to resume annually in 2021

Dear Clients, Volunteers, Community Partners and the London Community,

We want to thank you for your continued support of our efforts during this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by the show of care displayed to our organization and its effort to ensure that food security is provided to those in need. This crisis has increased our demand but also highlighted the need for important community work being done by organizations like Meals on Wheels London.

On March 27th, 2020 we were scheduled to host our annual March for Meals fundraiser at the BMO Centre in London. Unfortunately, due to restrictions related to COVID 19 we were unable to have our event. However, thanks to great community generosity we were able to hit our fundraising goal! This event each year is a reminder of the needs of some of London’s most vulnerable but also a chance to gather with the Meals On Wheels London family.

After careful thought and consideration of current restrictions we have decided to wait and hold this event in March 2021 if possible. The safety of all those we work with is one primary concern and with such uncertainty we felt this decision was best at this time. As well, we are mindful that when public gatherings can resume there will likely be an increased volume of community events.

For anyone who has collected pledges or who wants to make donations you can mail them to Meals on Wheels London, 356 Queens Avenue, London, Ontario. N6B 1X6, call in credit cards to us at 519-660-1430 or donate online at  www.mowl.ca (just click donate top right corner)

We want to thank all our sponsors who can be found below.

All sponsors that supported us this year will be recognized until the fall of 2020 through social media, our website and annual report. In the fall, we will then prepare for our 2021 event.

We thank all those who collected pledges, donated or supported this event in any other way.

Thank you to all the staff and volunteers who are hard at work during this crisis and for their efforts to increase our capacity. We hope all of you remain safe and healthy.
